Limestone Chimneypiece with Arched Overmantel and Scroll Corbels

A full height limestone chimneypiece that carries from hearth to cornice. A tall arched overmantel of coursed pale stone rises above the shelf, framed by a molded archivolt, flanked by slender pilasters and capped by a densely carved cornice band. The shelf itself is carved with a running leaf frieze and rests on two large scrolled corbel consoles. A broad raised stone hearth steps out into the room. Creamy limestone with faint rust veining. Suited to a double height living room, great room, estate home or hospitality interior with real ceiling height.
